New Gang Course in Indiana
GATE America is proud to announce a new gang course in Greenwood Indiana. In partnership with the Greenwood Indiana Police Department we will be holding a two day Gang Awareness and Recognition Course, November 6 & 7. The course is newly updated and expanded. If you have attended one of our previous courses, this course has new and improved content. The course is 14 hours in length and spans a full two days of training material.
This course is full of information that is useful for veteran and newer Officers alike. Topics covered in this course include gang recruitment, gang initiation, bullying issues, ways to work with your child to keep them gang free, gang recognition of signs, symbols, colors and graffiti, internet activity and much more. Current drug and gang trends will be covered, both locally and nationally. Also covered is a basic understanding of drug cartel operations, drug concealment and transportation methods.
Special emphasis on Officer Safety, Patrol based Intelligence, Gathering, Street Informant Cultivation and Development. In addition, information will also be provided resources to assist teens, parents and the community in addressing gang activity through prevention and intervention programs
