Arizona State University symbol recently updated their new logo and font style on the athletic uniforms for the Sun devils the logo is linked to a Chicago based Street gang. This new logo was developed withthe assistance of Nike. According to the University the revision will increase school spirit and help its recruiting efforts, as well as selling more merchandise for the school. But the un-intended consequence is that they logo is connected to a violent Chicago street gang. The symbol a trident is strongly connected to "folks" based gangs and is very heavily connected, with the colors of ASU and the Satan Disciples Street Gang. Check out the full story here.
Gangs adopting sports teams logos and wear for a long time, but it will be the first time the ASU has been connected with the gang subculture.
